Okay, So…

Here is the deal.  I still can’t use my left hand.  For everyone who knows me, they know this is bad.  For those of you who don’t, what this means is that I can’t draw, I can’t paint, I can’t knit.  Bannon bit my left ring finger pretty good bit below my left pinky finger so if I am not all drugged up on anti-inflammatories and pain killers I can not close those fingers all the way and I can hold a pencil, kinda, but not well enough to draw or paint.  Honestly, it sucks to even type with EITHER hand, but my right hand is doing much better than my left.

When I do close my left hand all the way, (besides there being lots of effort involved as well as pain) it makes this horrid cracking noise.  It is just stiff and sore and I have lost the dexterity in it.  Being dead left handed, this is a bit scary.

And it wouldn’t be so scary if I felt that progress was happening in the getting better area.  I was getting better, and then the better just stopped.  Having never been bitten by an animal before, I don’t know if this is normal or not.  I do know that the stiffness and loss of dexterity is also happening in my left foot.  In fact, the only area that had bites on it that seems to be almost normal is my right hand.  And even it is a bit stiff at times.

I maintain that I am not going to panic until the antibiotics and anti-inflammatories and all have run out.  Then, if there is still no progress, there might be panic.

As it is, I am concerned, and, honestly, I bit disgusted with the whole deal.

Still, I am glad they didn’t take my cat.

  1. Yikes. Hmmm… maybe you’ll want to have Dr. Connie look at it if it doesn’t improve after the drugs are gone???

I’m sorry I can’t be more of help — I’ve never been bitten by an animal before… ::hugs::
